“Not quite a blonde are we, more of a dirty blonde…”

Posted in Uncategorized by acidsquid on February 7, 2010

Do you like Phil Collins? I’ve been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn’t understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins’ presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group’s undisputed masterpiece. It’s an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don’t you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I’ve heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins’ solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don’t just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite. Could it be? Land of the Ladies?

Posted in Uncategorized by acidsquid on February 7, 2010

So, this guy I know (we’ll call him Drucker) claims that he zips off to the “Land of Ladies” on a regular basis for a little R&R.  Now, I’ve never been there, but I’m gonna take a good guess that this may be one of the fine drinking establishments located there.  As you can see, this gentleman has found himself one of the fine species of ladies which had only been bred during a certain era.  This also leads me to believe that to get to the “Land of Ladies” may require some sort of time travel which must include a fine 12 year Scotch or warm snifter of Cognac.   Sound a bit like Alice in Wonderland, but for gentlemen.  Or, possible an episode of Cheers while on some primo window paine acid.  Now lets get lost in the Land of Ladies where the liquor is cheap and the women are always cheaper.

Corpse Reviver No. 2

By far one of my favorite cocktails when I’m lookin’ to have something “up”.  A coupe of these will get your goose loose.  Me personally, I am usually good after two of these, then I switch to something a little easier on the soul.

  • 3/4 oz gin
  • 3/4 oz Cointreau
  • 3/4 oz Lillet Blanc
  • 3/4 oz lemon juice
  • 1 drop Pernod
  • Shake with ice, and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry.

    Snow Day Sleeeeeeeaze

Posted in Uncategorized by acidsquid on February 6, 2010

It’s Saturday, and I am at my office in a fucking blizzard.  This is the second blizzard we have endured this winter in a city that rarely even gets any type of accumilation.  The snow drift in our parking lot right meow is over my knees, and is apparently falling (still) at a rate of 2″ an hour, greeeat.   So enjoy my little blasts of vintage sleaze through out the day.

Here is a vintage publication, Mentor.  A throwback to the good ol’ days when being sleazy was an art, and didn’t require all the glitz and glamour of fake tits, pounds of make-up, and all the other garbage of today’s smut.

As I am sure a lot of you noticed, I have become slightly tuned in to nylons.  This is actually a new thing for Squiddy.  Seriously though, this picture is priceless in the means of being the perfect example of sexy.  If you disagree, you more than likely like kissing boys where they pee.

I could be wrong, but more than likely I’m not.  Christina Lindberg is probably one of the sexiest young ladies to grace the face of exploitation cinema.
